The plaintiff was seriously injured in a motor vehicle collision in Snohomish County on a stretch of road that had been the subject of citizen complaints and similar collisions for years.  After nearly three years of litigation, numerous motions and depositions, the State of Washington finally agreed to the amount shortly before trial.
