Stephanie grew up in rural Michigan. She obtained a B.A. in International Studies and German from Hope College, graduating summa cum laude. While at Hope, Stephanie spent a semester studying abroad in Freiburg, Germany. She obtained her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2013.
She worked as a judicial law clerk for Washington Court of Appeals Judge Stephen Dwyer. Following her clerkship, she joined the litigation division of Van Siclen, Stocks & Firkins. There, her practice covered multiple areas of law, including appellate practice, civil rights, school law, employment discrimination, contract litigation, and criminal defense. She has argued multiple cases in the Washington Court of Appeals, including In re Marriage of Lane, concerning the rights of persons represented by Guardians ad Litem.
Stephanie joined Peterson Wampold Rosato Feldman Luna in January 2019. She is a member of the King County Bar Association’s Appellate Section, the Washington State Association for Justice, and the Military Spouse Juris Doctorate Network and is admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Stephanie currently lives in Des Moines with her husband Tony, a former naval officer.
