PWRFL obtains jury verdict against at-fault driver and Allstate Insurance that far exceeds all insurance policy limits available; PWRFL follows with an Insurance Fair Conduct Act claim against Allstate.

Our client, 60-year-old Joan Slocombe, sustained a low back injury in a rear end auto collision.  The injury resulted in left leg radiculopathy and neurological changes in the sacrum.

Our client’s physicians testified that the injuries were permanent, while the doctor hired by the insurance companies to evaluate our client testified that our client’s injuries from the collision were minor.

The at-fault driver had insurance policy limits of $100,000 and our client had underinsured motorist coverage limits of $100,000.  Following trial in December 2013, a jury returned a verdict in favor of our client awarding her all of her medical bills in the amount of $45,120 and an additional $625,000 in non-economic damages.  After the verdict was returned, our client sued Allstate for insurance bad faith and violation of the Insurance Fair Conduct Act.
