Zachary J. Strom

Attorney

Zack grew up in northern California but moved to the Midwest to attend college at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, whence he graduated cum laude in 2015 with a double major in history and environmental studies. Thereafter, he attended the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where he served as an executive editor of the Journal of International Law and Business, worked with individuals in the Bluhm Legal Clinic's Environmental Advocacy Center, and took part in the annual Wigmore Follies student musical theater production. In his third year, he took part in an International Team Project (ITP) course, traveling with a group of students to Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands to study legal issues and environmental policy. During his 1L and 2L summers, Zack worked, respectively, at a public interest environmental law center and at a private civil litigation firm.

After earning his J.D. in 2018, Zack moved to Seattle and began his legal career as a clerk for the Honorable Stephen J. Dwyer at Division One of the Washington State Court of Appeals, where he worked for two years on a variety of civil and criminal matters. From 2020 to 2023, Zack went on to serve as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Western District, first as a specialist in Social Security disability appeals and then as a term law clerk to then-Chief Magistrate Judge J. Richard Creatura. Following this extended period of time working "behind the scenes" in the state and federal court systems, Zack was thrilled to join PWRFL as an associate in September 2023 and looks forward to being a positive force for change in his community.

When he is not working, Zack enjoys yard work, crossword puzzles, road bike riding and cross-country skiing.
